On Feb.7th, life and production team of epidemic prevention and control leading group of pneumonia infected by the novel coronavirus of Zhejiang Province issued The Circular on "Green List" Foreign Trade Enterprises to Resume Work with Priority, it asked all city and county level peoples’ governments and direct units of the province to speed up to organize enterprises on the green list to take the priority to return to work under the premise of measures of epidemic prevention and control taken, and arrange relative guarantee work well after return to work. Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd is on the list of the 54 enterprises who are the first batch of province level key foreign trade enterprises having the priority to return to work and enjoy the guarantee.

At the beginning of the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, the company immediately established a leading group for epidemic prevention and control led by the main person in charge, set up a special team to be responsible for the epidemic prevention and control work, regulated Public Health Emergency Plan 2020 – The Prevention and Control Measures for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia, specified in detail the emergency response measures such as safety management of plant and dormitory building, treatment method for suspected and confirmed cases, publicity and training work, etc., also made details for employees’ management after returning to factory, canteen management, vehicles’ in and out management, other personnel’s in and out management, disinfection and sterilization management, dormitory management and so on. Meanwhile, the company formulated Hailiang Epidemic Prevention Manual after Returning to Work to guide employees on key aspects such as personal life virus prevention and protection, virus prevention and protection in workplaces, etc.

Hailiang (Anhui) Copper Industry Co., Ltd, the Anhui production base of the company also returned to work at 0 o’clock on Feb.10th, 2020 under the approval of local government. Since Feb.1st, Anhui Hailiang has started to follow and track health status of all employees, cooperated with government to develop epidemic identification work, purchased and stored all kinds of protection and disinfection materials, and completed the acceptance work after returning to work of local governmental departments on Feb.9th.

Facing the impact on production and operation by the sudden outbreak of the epidemic, the company was clam and acted following the trend, by quick adjustment on the company’s whole production and operation plan, it made full use of the productivity of its international production bases, especially mobilized the production capacity of production bases in Vietnam and Thailand actively to make up for partial production capacity shortage of the company caused by the epidemic.

In this period, on the basis of enhancing site epidemic prevention and management level, Vietnam and Thailand production bases of the company deeply dig its potential, improved efficiency and quickly improved the plant’s production capability.

Vietnam base has arranged production in the initial local spring festival holiday to make all efforts to increase productivity, maximized the production capability of single process by adding some new employees to secure normal production of orders, in which the yield of internal threads, light pipes and mosquito repellent incense shape pipes has all breakthrough historic records. At the same time, responding to the call of the stock company, Vietnam base has conducted well self-protection work, workers all wear masks and disinfect regularly, it has also arranged special people to spray disinfectant in assigned points of the plant.

The new “intelligent production project of highly efficient, energy-saving and environmental protection precision copper pipe with annual yield of 30,000 tons” of Thailand base was planned to have equipment installation and adjustment at the beginning of 2020, facing present trend, the Thailand plant launched a surprise operation to make the trial production time of the project significantly ahead of the planned schedule with the cooperation of all parties working overtime to complete the relevant work. The effective increase of production capability of old production line and rapid trial production of the new production line in Thailand base significantly eases the production pressure caused by limited domestic production capacity.
