On November 9, 2022, the Management Committee of Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone commissioned an expert group consisting of four experts to hold a technical assessment meeting on the Environmental Impact Report Form of the Low-Carbon Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Renovation Project with an Annual Production Capacity of 177,000 Tons of Precision Copper Pipe at Hailiang Shanghai Base.

The relevant representativesof Management Committee of Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the People's Government of Situan Town, Fengxian District, Shanghai Danbella Environmental Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Qinqin (Shanghai) Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

The expert group and the representatives at the meeting conducted a site survey, listened to the project overview and the evaluation unit's report on the environmental impact report form, and the technical evaluation expert group gave revision opinions. After revision, improvement, process public announcement and other processes, the company obtained the approval of the environmental impact report form on November 30.

The technical renovation project has been jointly reviewed by Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, and has undergone energy-saving review by Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission. With the help of the reform leading area policy of "regulation, management and service" in Lingang New Area and the "two-in-one" system of pilot environmental assessment and pollutant discharge, this environmental assessment and pollutant discharge certificate have one set of materials, one acceptance, simultaneous examination and approval, and one completion, with fast progress and high efficiency.

This project adopts the technology development and application results of the 5th generation of continuous casting and rolling precision copper pipe production line of Hailiang, namely "Research on Low-carbon Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Equipment for Precision Copper Pipe", and the overall technology has reached the international leading level. After the implementation of the project, the product quality is stable, the rate of finished products and labor efficiency are significantly improved, the comprehensive cost is significantly reduced, and the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product is reduced by 13.46kgce/t, which reduces carbon emission.

Shanghai Hailiang Copper will use the approval of the Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Renovation Project as a new starting point to accelerate the digital and intelligent upgrading of copper processing and manufacturing, improve energy saving and carbon reduction, optimize intelligent operation and management, continue to reduce costs and increase efficiency through continuous technology iteration, strive to achieve win-win situation of high-quality development and social responsibility, and contribute Hailiang scheme to the globalization of China's Intelligent manufacturing.
