In August 2018, Wang Qianfeng joined Hailiang. Since entering the company, he has been diligent and dedicated, always working on the frontline of equipment maintenance.

    After five years of dedicated effort, Wang Qianfeng has grown from an ordinary mechanic to the Head of Equipment Maintenance for the Public Area at Hailiang Zhejiang Base's Coil Business Division. He is primarily responsible for the daily maintenance and repairs of auxiliary equipment such as raw material warehouses, air compressors, and cooling water pumping stations.

Maintenance Expert

    Upon taking over the regular maintenance of the raw material warehouse, Wang Qianfeng promptly resolved minor issues with auxiliary equipment and planned major repairs, effectively reducing the failure rate of the coil material warehouse equipment.

    For example, the reclaiming packaging machine used to require frequent repairs and consistently suffered from high hydraulic oil consumption and low production efficiency. Drawing on his repair experience, Wang Qianfeng analyzed previous cases of malfunctions and quickly found a solution that enabled the packaging machine to operate steadily and efficiently.

    Since his repairs, hydraulic oil consumption in the raw material warehouse has decreased from 500-700 kg per month to 200-340 kg per month, a reduction of around 60%.

Innovative and Energy-saving

    While ensuring the normal operation of equipment, Wang Qianfeng is also bold in innovation. He has made multiple technological improvements to the equipment, reducing energy consumption and enhancing the company's efficiency.

    In 2021-2022, Wang Qianfeng participated in the technical transformation of Hailiang's Zhejiang regional wastewater filtration system. He was responsible for the layout design of the water supply network for tanks 7-10 and water-saving improvements for the old network of tanks 1-6 in the coil area. After the technical upgrade, the new water supply system can filter and recycle approximately 3,000-3,500 tons of water per month, saving around 190,000 yuan annually.

    In 2022, he improved the drainage system of the compressed air pipelines for four air compressor stations (1-3# lines) in the Zhejiang coil area, effectively reducing the water content in the compressed air pipelines. This not only reduced the wear and tear on equipment such as internal thread forming, rolling mills, online annealing, and coil pulling but also minimized the frequency of compressed air-related equipment failures.

An Exemplary Mentor

    Since November 2021, Wang Qianfeng has taken on another role: a teacher.

    A teacher is someone who imparts knowledge, guides, and resolves doubts. He fully leverages his role as a mentor to train new talents in the company and pass on his expertise, dedication, and meticulous work ethic to his apprentice, Tian Dafeng. 

    It is believed that in the near future, Tian Dafeng will also become an outstanding individual capable of independently handling tasks, just like Wang Qianfeng.
